Things are beginning to cool down, so it is time for a cold rosé and a patio. You can call me basic, but I love sparkling rosé in the warm sun. There is always a bottle in my fridge. However, I still prefer the abv and gentle relaxation you get with beer. Lucky for me, I know a few people who could marry the wine’s flavor profile with the best aspects of beer.
We brewed Fission with raspberries and aged it in cabernet wine barrels. We used both French and American oak barrels to see if we had a preference (we didn’t). The beer extracted beautiful oak characteristics from the American barrels and fruit from the French. Both were delicious on their own, and the blended version creates the perfect balance. We then carbonated it a touch higher to enhance the sparkling rosé experience.
BA Fission is now my favorite beer. I say this all the time, but I mean it this time!
It is available in the taproom now and will hit the market in the next two weeks. And yes, cans are available, because you must have cans for your patio!
Summer isn’t over yet!
