Okay, that headline might be a touch clickbaity, but we are definitely extremely low on beer. The last few weeks have blown our expectations out of the water. We’ve always suspected that we were building something special, but your support since opening has been heartwarming and reaffirming, to say the least.
Now let’s talk about the elephant in the taproom, the lack of beer. If you were one of our early guests, you were able to drink beer you’ve never tasted before. Things like Inception, Particles Collide Beta, Reaction, and X-10. And clearly, you liked it, because all of those kegs are now empty! They disappeared quicker than any of us anticipated, and now we’re down to the core products.
We know that the expectation of a new taproom is to have brand new beer. Or at least beer that hasn’t been in the market for a couple of years. As the rare kegs were blowing, we were seeing too many looks of disappointment on the other side of the bar. I never want to see those looks again. So, we’ve made the decision to reduce our hours while we ramp up production. For the rest of January, we will have coffee shop hours (because we’re also a coffee shop). We’re serving what we have left on tap, so you’re welcome to have a morning or afternoon beer.
By the end of next week, nine (9!) tanks will be full of beer in various stages. We will then have an official grand opening in early February with a full tap wall, food, and live music, of course. We will most likely start previewing the food menu later this month.
But remember that this is not a complete closure! We’re still open weekday mornings at 7:30 am and weekends at 9 am. We will close at 3 pm each day. Have a coffee and drink the last of what we have on tap!
