Support our Local Firefighters!

February 20, 2020by Misty Sanford0

During opening weekend way back in December, we met the Wise couple, some of the kindest people on the planet. We proceeded to see Brent every day for the next five days. It was the holidays, and we have coffee, so no judgment.  Their visits started as an afternoon date, but then Brent discovered our morning hours and began bringing his team in after their 24-hour shifts.

Brent is the Captain at a local fire station that is known as The Black Sheep. Seeing the crew and their smiles every third morning is something all of us look forward to (they tried really hard to look tough in the photo above). If we’re lucky, they occasionally have a slow morning and bring the engine by for a quick coffee to go. This group of men is pretty special and clearly very heroic and talented when it comes to their profession. Even other fire stations have told us so. 😉

A few of the guys mentioned that they want to get behind the bar, and that is when we decided we needed to host a charity event for their chosen organization.  So please join us on Tuesday, February 25,  when $1 from every beer poured that entire day will go to the Dallas Fire Fighters Association Relief Fund. This fund is sponsored by firefighters’ association, Local 58. They provide monetary assistance to firefighter families who have suffered hardships due to job injuries, fires in their homes, and other catastrophic events.

The firefighters will be behind the bar at 6 pm! Let’s show them what it is like to get in the weeds with so many beer orders!
