So long, Instagram

Hello, friends!

Well, we’ve been deleted from Instagram. Twice. We could possibly get it back, but it has reminded us of a fundamental marketing lesson. Zuck owns our content, subscribers, and the relationships we formed in his space. And he can take it away at any moment without warning.

Even if we get Instagram back, it will not be a focus for MP moving forward.  Why? The space made us a bit complacent.

It was easy to post beautiful photos and a few words. And don’t get me started on those quick dopamine hits every time we got a heart or comment. They’re addicting! But now we are dusting off our old school marketing skills and launching initiatives that were almost distant memories. To be honest, it feels a little freeing to not worry about algorithms or the general toxic sentiment in social media.

In the immediate future, expect to see more emails from us and text message campaigns. And we’ve already begun working on new activations, promo collabs, and an exclusive MP app. We’re excited about what’s next!
