We’re officially releasing our new Belgian Golden Strong in the fall (when it is in cans!). But we have a couple small batches ready now, so we’re thinking it really should be consumed sooner rather than later. Right? Yes.
We all have stories about how eloquent we become after drinking two, or even one, of our favorite ten-percenters, so this beer is aptly named Wise Monkeys. For the history buffs out there, it also references the signage at The Manhattan Project that encouraged secrecy. And we all know there are no secrets after a couple big beers.
Wise Monkeys is a fairly true to style Belgian Golden Strong, and it packs a punch in a way too drinkable package. When you take a lingering sniff, you will detect a bit of fermented stone fruit, specifically peach. But don’t let the nose fool you. It has a softly perceptible sweetness that we’re calling semi-dry. The flavor isn’t going to be sugary sweet, but more of a subtle reference to the peach and bubblegum that comes through on the nose.
We’re not sure how much we’re going to produce until the official release in the fall, but we do know that 6 barrels of it are almost ready for delivery. Do you want to get an early taste? Of course you do. Join us for the preview party at Craft and Growler.

I can’t wait to try Wise Monkeys. Is it going to be just on tap or will there be growler fills too? I have to work Saturdays and am hoping to get someone to go down and pick some up for me.

There should be growler fills as well. We will try to keep Craft and Growler in inventory for a few days!
