Working for Happy Hour

Slow day? Have a coffee. Rough day? Have a beer. Friday? Have both. It’s all possible at Manhattan Project’s new taproom.

One would think that Manhattan Project would settle with just having incredible beer. But nope, that’s just not enough. They’re going for gold. In addition to my Hoppenheimer addiction, the new taproom will also be a place to fuel my coffee addiction. The full-service coffee bar will be brewing coffee from Edison Coffee Co., daily, from 10 am.

While most breweries don’t even open until 4 pm, Manhattan Project will open every day at 10am, except Tuesdays, when the brewery is closed. With high-speed Internet, outlets galore, and endless coffee and beer, this is your new home away from home. The vision is not just a brewery but a welcoming, shared space for the community.

As remote work has become increasingly popular, and working from home becomes the new norm, co-working spaces have been popping up all over. Sifting through all of the options can get overwhelming and expensive. Well, look no further—your new office is here, and it comes with coffee and beer!

Described as ‘comfy and a little sexy’ by co-founder Misty Sanford, the new taproom is very intentionally designed. A place where you can hustle all day, then seamlessly transition right into happy hour. You can take your conference call in the quieter lounge area, relaxing on a black velvet banquette, or schedule that 4 pm meeting that starts with a coffee and ends with a beer. Manhattan Project will actually have you looking forward to what used to be that always-dreaded last meeting of the day. I know—my mind is blown as well.

Having worked remotely for the past 2+ years, I am always on the hunt for new spaces that are FUNctional. Yes, I need a place that promotes productivity, but I also look for an exciting, inviting, collaborative space. I want to get shit done and have fun. Well, the hunt is over, and I can’t wait for Manhattan Project to be my new work-from-home away from home.
