We are overdue for an update. The good news is that we continue to build out the brewing portion of the facility with two more tanks getting installed this week. Our production capabilities will more than double next month! We also have half a million cans arriving tomorrow. Yes, 500,0000 cans. That’s a lot of zeros. It should make all of the Half-Life and Hoppenheimer fans out there happy!
Now the frustrating news. We still don’t have water, and we need water to make beer. And to flush toilets. We passed all the necessary tests, but I suppose processing paperwork takes time. We continue to complete as much of the project as we possibly can without water, but some things are definitely contingent on H20.
The end of October is full of conflicting events and costumes, and costume parties aren’t our thing. So, we’ve decided to hijack North Texas Beer Week and make the entire 10 days a grand opening celebration. The timing is a bit fortuitous because we launched during beer week three years ago. This year we will celebrate accomplishing a massive feat (looking at you, local government) AND our anniversary. I really should have claimed that we planned this!
A complete event list will be posted and published on ntxbeerweek.com in the next week or so, but we have the biggies identified. We’re kicking off beer week with Do214 and a special collab beer (more on that later), and we’re wrapping it up with a huge grand opening/anniversary party.
