It’s no secret that we love coffee. I mean, we partly put a coffee shop in our taproom to reduce our personal coffee budgets. So, of course, we want to work it into as much beer as possible. We have Black Matter, which will always be our first love, but we needed something a bit lighter for spring and summer. Why not a coffee blonde?
Yes, blondes are not historically our style. We’ve never released one because we don’t have any interest in drinking them. But if we take a basic and well-executed blonde and then add a beautiful coffee to it, that’s a whole different game.
But if we take a basic and well-executed blonde and then add a beautiful coffee to it, that’s a whole different game.
With that, let’s introduce Delayed Destination, our coffee blonde. We reached out to our roaster, Edison Coffee Co, to find the perfect coffee. We’re using a Guatemalan bean called Flora Ramos. When you taste it, you will pick up notes of rose hips, dark chocolate, and dried blueberries. Now add that profile to a basic blonde with a touch of vanilla, and it is a delightful combination.
Like our tap wall, Edison changes their coffees frequently and seasonally. That means Flora Ramos most likely won’t be available in the near future. And it provides us with the perfect excuse to make Delayed Destination a series where we use a different coffee with each release!
Get it now while it is available!
